I'm supposed to be traveling in eight hours, and I haven't begun to pack anything.
Shit, I'm a good planner.

I think that starting next week I'm going to make solitary day trips. Nowhere in particular, just taking a book and maybe a lunch, getting in the car and going somewhere for the day. I'd love to go to St. Mary's for a day or two, visit Liz, go read in historic, climb trees, that sort of thing. I mean, if I don't have a job (and not for lack of trying), I may as well adventure instead.

Being easily pleased is nice sometimes.

Stanley needs such a good cleaning. There have been at least four horrible, sticky liquids spilled in the backseat in the space of a year, and he's beginning to develop quite the bouquet.
In the past year:
-A melted bag of abandoned watermelon jelly candies broke in the driver side back seat, resulting in a stain known commonly as "The Sticky."
-Vomit (it was absolutely horrible, although it was cleaned up the next day). The smell has abated, but the memory persists.
-A 24 ounce glass bottle of CranApple juice shattered on floor of the passenger side back seat. It's still damp. And pink. Ugh.
-A can of Coke exploded over and on top of the Sticky. I noticed it one day when the light glanced off the tacky spots of dried soda on the dashboard and center console, and the interior of the small cooler in my backseat was stained with brown cola-drips.

Awful, awful, awful.

So maybe I should do some scrubbing and dejunking before I take these proposed trips...
