It was the perfect day for doing anything outside. The temperature was no higher than the low eighties all day, the humidity was incredibly low (pretty abnormal for Chesapeake Bay area Maryland in June), and the sun was out with a breeze up.

I dropped off a job application, did some grocery shopping and gardening, went for a two and half hour walk, and finished a book I've been trying to read since I was 8 (Ringworld, by Larry Niven. It's a slog, and every few years I pick it up again in hopes that this will be the year. This time around, it was). And then I took a shower.

I smell much better now.
